HPE's proprietary baseboard management controller and remote-management technology for ProLiant servers.
Context & Usage
iLO provides full out-of-band server management: power control, sensor monitoring, virtual KVM console, virtual media (mount ISO), BIOS access, firmware update. Each ProLiant has a dedicated iLO Ethernet port. Current generation is iLO 5 (Gen10/Gen11) and iLO 6 (Gen11+). Free Standard tier; Advanced tier adds virtual remote console and other features.
