Context & Usage
iDRAC provides full out-of-band PowerEdge management: power, monitoring, virtual KVM console, virtual media, BIOS, firmware update, Lifecycle Controller for automated deployment. Current generation is iDRAC 9 (Gen14+) and iDRAC 10 (Gen16+). Three tiers: Basic (sensor monitoring only), Express (virtual console), Enterprise (virtual media + multi-user).
