Can I stack different Catalyst models together?
Only within the same series. Catalyst 9300s can stack with each other; Catalyst 3850s can stack with each other; but a 9300 cannot stack with a 3850. Check the stacking module compatibility (StackWise-160 vs StackWise-480 vs StackWise-1T) for your specific models.
How do I configure a Catalyst switch out of the box?
(1) Console connection at 9600 baud, 8N1, no flow control. (2) From CLI, enter privileged mode (enable). (3) Configure terminal, hostname, IP address, default-gateway.
