HP ProCurve Switches

ProCurve is the networking line HP built before the Aruba acquisition, and it is still running in a very large number of production campuses. Because HP stopped selling it new, the aftermarket is where these switches now come from — and we hold ProCurve in genuine depth rather than a token handful of models.

That matters when you are maintaining an installed base. If a 2610 fails in a wiring closet, the cheapest and least disruptive fix is almost always an identical replacement that drops into the existing config, not a forklift upgrade of the whole floor.

What the ProCurve line covers

• 2500 / 2510 / 2520 series — fixed-port Layer 2 access, the classic wiring-closet switch
• 2600 / 2610 / 2620 series — Layer 2 access with basic static routing on some models
• 2800 / 2810 / 2824 / 2848 — Gigabit access and small aggregation
• 2910al — Layer 3 static routing, 10GbE uplink module options
• 3500 / 3500yl — full Layer 3 with HP's ProVision ASIC
• 5400zl / 6200yl — modular chassis for campus core and distribution

A note on warranty

Many ProCurve models shipped with HP's limited lifetime warranty when new. That warranty travels with the hardware, not the buyer, and HP's support obligations on end-of-life product have lapsed — so treat any lifetime-warranty claim on second-hand ProCurve with scepticism. Our own warranty is what actually protects you, and it is stated on every listing.

ProCurve part numbers are unusually easy to get wrong because the same J-number can appear with different PoE and uplink configurations. Send us the J-number off the front bezel and we will confirm the exact variant before anything ships.
