What's the difference between an edge server and a regular server?
Edge servers are designed for non-data-center environments — wider temperature range, vibration tolerance, dust/particulate filters, smaller form factor (1U or sub-1U), often fanless. They cost more per spec but survive the shop floor where standard servers don't.
Can a regular server work on a factory floor?
Sometimes — in air-conditioned control rooms separated from the production floor. For true shop-floor placement (alongside PLCs, near dust/heat sources), use proper edge hardware. We can advise on specific placement plans based on your facility.
Do you supply servers for OT/IT convergence?
Yes — we work with manufacturers integrating OT (operational tech: PLCs, SCADA, HMIs) with IT (ERP, MES, MES historians, cloud). The IT side runs on Dell/HPE/Lenovo platforms; the OT side typically uses Cisco IE switches + edge servers for protocol translation.
