Network Cables & Fiber Optic

Copper DAC, active optical, fiber patch cords, and Cat6/6A Ethernet cables

About Network Cables & Fiber

Complete your network build with the right cables and fiber optics. We carry everything from Cat6A copper patch cables for rack wiring to high-speed DAC (Direct Attach Copper) and AOC (Active Optical Cable) assemblies for switch-to-switch interconnects.

All fiber optic cables are factory-terminated and tested to ensure low insertion loss and reliable connectivity in your data center environment.

Cable Types We Carry

  • DAC Cables — SFP+ 10G, SFP28 25G, QSFP+ 40G, QSFP28 100G (1m-5m)
  • AOC Cables — Active optical for distances beyond 5m (up to 100m)
  • Fiber Patch Cords — LC-LC, SC-LC, multimode OM3/OM4, single-mode OS2
  • Cat6/Cat6A — Ethernet patch cables, bulk cable, shielded (STP)
  • Breakout Cables — QSFP to 4x SFP+ fan-out cables

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DAC cable and when should I use it?

A DAC (Direct Attach Copper) cable is a fixed-length cable with SFP+/QSFP+ connectors built in — no separate transceivers needed. Use DAC cables for short-distance connections (1-5 meters) between switches in the same rack. They are cheaper, lower latency, and lower power than transceiver + fiber combinations.

What is the difference between OM3 and OM4 fiber?

Both are multimode fiber but OM4 supports longer distances at higher speeds. At 10G, OM3 reaches 300m while OM4 reaches 400m. At 40G/100G, OM3 reaches 100m while OM4 reaches 150m. OM4 costs slightly more but provides more headroom for future speed upgrades.
