Yes. Arista EOS is built on Linux and speaks standard protocols (LLDP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, MLAG/MC-LAG). Interop with Cisco Catalyst / Nexus over BGP-EVPN or layer-2 LAG is well-documented and production-deployed in many enterprises.
Does Arista require licensing like Cisco DNA?
Arista licenses features (StreamLF, CloudVision, advanced routing) per switch but does NOT require a recurring DNA-style license to run base IP routing + L2 features. Most basic enterprise deployments need only the perpetual hardware license that ships with the switch.
