Cisco SFP & QSFP Transceivers

1G to 100G fiber and copper modules for every Cisco switch and router

About SFP Transceivers

Connect your Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls with the right transceiver modules. We carry the full range of Cisco SFP, SFP+, SFP28, QSFP+, and QSFP28 transceivers — both Cisco-branded and compatible modules at 60-70% below list price.

All compatible transceivers are pre-programmed with Cisco vendor coding, so they work plug-and-play in Catalyst, Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Meraki platforms without "unsupported transceiver" errors.

Popular Cisco Transceiver Models

  • GLC-SX-MMD — 1G SFP, multimode, 550m (most common for short-range)
  • GLC-LH-SMD — 1G SFP, single-mode, 10km (building-to-building links)
  • SFP-10G-SR — 10G SFP+, multimode, 300m (data center backbone)
  • SFP-10G-LR — 10G SFP+, single-mode, 10km (campus network)
  • SFP-25G-SR-S — 25G SFP28, multimode, 100m (leaf-spine fabric)
  • QSFP-40G-SR4 — 40G QSFP+, multimode, 150m (spine uplinks)
  • QSFP-100G-SR4-S — 100G QSFP28, multimode, 100m (high-density)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do compatible SFP transceivers work in Cisco switches?

Yes. Compatible (third-party) SFP transceivers work in all Cisco switches when properly coded with Cisco vendor ID. They are functionally identical to Cisco-branded modules at 60-70% lower cost. We pre-program all compatible modules for plug-and-play operation.

What is the difference between SFP and SFP+?

SFP supports up to 1 Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet or Fibre Channel). SFP+ supports up to 10 Gbps. They use the same physical form factor but SFP+ has higher-speed electronics. SFP+ ports are backward compatible with SFP modules at 1G speed.

Which SFP do I need for multimode vs single-mode fiber?

Multimode fiber (orange/aqua cable, OM3/OM4) uses SR (Short Range) transceivers — typically 850nm wavelength, up to 300-400m. Single-mode fiber (yellow cable, OS2) uses LR (Long Range) transceivers — 1310nm wavelength, up to 10km. Check your fiber cable type to choose correctly.
