Power-protection in the rack is non-negotiable. Pro Disk Network stocks APC Smart-UPS SRT, Eaton 9PX / 9SX, Tripp Lite SmartOnline, and Vertiv Liebert GXT rackmount UPS units in 1U, 2U, and 3U form factors with capacity from 1500VA up to 10kVA.

All units carry double-conversion (online) topology with sine-wave output, replaceable battery cartridges, and SNMP/network management cards available factory-installed or as add-ons. We also stock replacement battery cartridges (RBC) for end-of-life units that just need new batteries, not a whole new UPS.

What is the difference between line-interactive and double-conversion UPS?

Line-interactive (APC Smart-UPS SMT) regulates voltage but switches to battery only when input fails - good for office and edge sites. Double-conversion / online (APC SRT, Eaton 9PX, Tripp Lite SmartOnline) continuously converts AC-DC-AC, isolating the load from all power anomalies - required for data centers, sensitive servers, and medical/industrial equipment.

How long will a 2200VA rackmount UPS run a 2U server?

A typical 2U server drawing ~400-500W will get 18-25 minutes of runtime from a fully-charged APC Smart-UPS SMT2200RM2U. Adding one external battery pack (BR48V31RM2U) extends that to ~50-70 minutes. For longer runtimes, add additional battery cabinets - APC supports up to 10 packs in series.

Do these UPS units include the rack rails?

New APC, Eaton, and Tripp Lite rackmount UPS units ship with their factory rail kit. Refurbished units may or may not - we list the included accessories on each product page. If rails are missing we can source matching OEM rails separately.

Can these UPS units send shutdown signals to my servers?

Yes. APC ships with PowerChute software (Windows / Linux / VMware); Eaton uses Intelligent Power Manager (IPM); Tripp Lite uses PowerAlert. All major UPS brands support SNMP via an optional network management card (we stock these), which integrates with iDRAC, iLO, vCenter, and any standard monitoring platform.
