DDR3 ECC RDIMM Server Memory

1066 / 1333 / 1600 / 1866 MHz registered ECC modules for Gen6-Gen8 servers

About DDR3 ECC RDIMM Server Memory

DDR3 ECC RDIMM is the workhorse memory of the Dell PowerEdge R610 / R710 / R720 / R730, HP ProLiant DL360 / DL380 / ML350 G6-G8, Lenovo ThinkServer RD340 / RD440 / RD540, and IBM System x M3 / M4 generations. Pro Disk Network stocks 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB DDR3 RDIMMs at 1066, 1333, 1600, and 1866 MHz from Samsung, Micron, Hynix, Kingston, and Crucial.

Every module is tested compatible with the host server’s memory controller specifications. Mix-rank and mix-density rules are tightly enforced on these older platforms - if you tell us the server model and current memory population we will ship the right matching module without the back-and-forth.

Most-Stocked DDR3 RDIMM Configurations

  • 8GB 1Rx4 PC3-10600R - 1333 MHz, ideal for R710 / DL380 G7 base config
  • 16GB 2Rx4 PC3-12800R - 1600 MHz, sweet spot for R720 / DL380 G8
  • 16GB 2Rx4 PC3-14900R - 1866 MHz, max-speed for R720 / DL380 G8
  • 32GB 4Rx4 PC3L-10600R - 1333 MHz LRDIMM-style high-density for R720
  • 32GB 4Rx4 PC3-12800L - 1600 MHz LRDIMM for high-memory builds

Refurbished and pull-tested DDR3 RDIMMs are available at 50-70% below new pricing with our 12-month advance-replacement warranty. For end-of-life server fleets this is the most cost-effective way to keep production hardware in service without spending on new Gen10+ replacements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between DDR3 RDIMM and DDR3 LRDIMM?

RDIMM (Registered DIMM) uses a register buffer on the address/command lines - reduces electrical load on the memory bus, allowing more DIMMs per channel. LRDIMM (Load-Reduced DIMM) uses a buffer on BOTH address/command AND data lines - allows even higher densities (32GB+ per DIMM) but at slightly higher latency. Most Gen6-Gen8 servers support both; check your server documentation for the supported densities per channel.

Can I mix DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600 modules?

Yes, but the entire channel will downclock to the slowest speed. For best performance, populate all DIMMs in a channel with the same speed and rank. Most Gen8 servers will refuse to boot if you mix RDIMM and LRDIMM in the same channel - that mix is not allowed.

Are these compatible with HP iLO and Dell iDRAC memory health monitoring?

Yes. Genuine OEM and OEM-equivalent third-party modules report SPD data correctly to iLO/iDRAC for thermal monitoring and ECC error tracking. We use industry-standard SPD chips - not knock-off or unbranded.

Do you stock 1.35V (DDR3L) modules?

Yes. DDR3L low-voltage modules are stocked for laptops and energy-efficient servers (HP ProLiant Gen8 supports DDR3L at slightly reduced max speed). 1.5V standard DDR3 is also fully stocked.
